Could Mateusz Klich follow Chris Wood and Charlie Taylor by leaving Leeds United for Premier League outfit Burnley?

First it was Charlie Taylor. Then Chris Wood. Now, Mateusz Klich could reportedly swap Leeds United for Burnley.

At least, that is what the Sun believe.

They stated over the weekend that Burnley are set to make a move for another of Elland Road’s favourites with Klich apparently on the radar of the Sean Dyche’s side.

A 29-year-old Poland international, the former FC Twente ace was in fantastic form last season, notching 10 goals and eight assists from central midfield with his excellent passing range and ability to shoot accurately from distance making him a key part of Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.

And, worryingly, Klich has only one year left on his contract in West Yorkshire. The Mail reports that Leeds don’t even have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.

With speculation rife about the futures of Kalvin Phillips and Kemar Roofe, following on from Pontus Jansson’s shock move to Championship rivals Brentford, it’s fair to say Leeds fans are counting down the days until the transfer window shuts.

Burnley supporters, however, are hoping that another cross-Pennines raid is on the cards.
