Kenny Miller is out of contract at the end of this season and it would be little surprise if Scottish Premiership giants Rangers didn’t keep him at Ibrox.

Even at the age of 37, Rangers fans were very keen to see Kenny Miller sign a new deal to stay at Ibrox at the end of last season, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
The veteran striker, in his third spell at the club, was a shining light in a disappointing 2016/17 campaign and was the only Rangers player to reach double figures for goals in the Scottish Premiership.
So supporters were almost completely united behind the decision to hand Miller a one year extension at the end of a drawn out saga where it seemed that, for a while, then manager Pedro Caixinha was set to let him leave.

One year on, however, the feeling could hardly be any more different. The overriding viewpoint now is that Miller, who blew out 38 candles in December, is coming to the end at last.
He was a regular earlier in the season, rolling back the years with a brilliant double against Hearts, but has fallen out of favour in the last few months. He has only featured three times since the turn of the year and has not started a match since December.

The form of Jason Cummings (above), who arrived on loan from Nottingham Forest in January, has not helped Miller’s cause. The former Hibernian striker is finding his feet and scored all four in the Scottish Cup thrashing of Falkirk on Saturday and it would be a major surprise if Rangers did not take up their chance to make his temporary deal permanent.
So the prospect of Miller bidding farewell should not be a concern to Rangers fans this year. In Cummings, they already have a replacement ready and waiting.
