Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to bid farewell to Sheffield United linked Lee Evans after Jack Price sealed his departure from Molineux.

It is not just the players Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed that shows how far they have come; it is also the ones they have let go.
Midfield pairing Jack Price and Lee Evans made a combined 34 Championship appearances for Wolves last season as a side managed by Walter Zenga and then Paul Lambert limped to a disappointing mid-table finish.
At the midway point of their second season under Chinese investors Fosun International, however, the Black Country giants are almost unrecognisable, apart from those traditional golden kits.
Led by the tactically astute Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves are 11 points clear at the top of the Championship while boasting a midfield consisting of Moroccan international Romain Saiss, Villarreal loanee Alfred N’Diaye and former Porto captain Ruben Neves, the most expensive player in Championship history.

As such, there is simply no room at Molineux for solid, decent Championship players like Price (above) and Evans any more. Wolves are a Premier League team with Premier League stars; albeit in performance only as thing stand.
Combative academy graduate Price ended his 17-year association with Wolves on Monday as he completed his eye-catching move to MLS side Colorado Rapids. He did not make a single Championship appearance all season.
And according to the Daily Mail, Evans is set to depart Molineux for good as well. Sheffield United are closing in on a player who has helped Wigan Athletic to the top of the Championship during a loan spell in League One.

Both Price and Evans would do a job for most ordinary Championship teams. But, these days, Wolves are far from ordinary.
