Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers loaned Connor Ronan out to League One Walsall on transfer deadline day.

Connor Ronan has a habit of making a good first impression.
He lit up an otherwise dull goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday on his first ever start for Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2017, earning plenty of praise from his then manager Paul Lambert.
“Connor Ronan’s was a good as debut as I’ve seen from a young player,” the Scot told the Express and Star.
“It took me a millisecond to see how good he was.”
And it seems that Walsall fans haven’t waited long either to witness Ronan’s talents first hand.

After struggling for opportunities at big-spending Wolves, the 20-year-old moved on loan to Walsall on transfer deadline day and made his debut for The Saddlers in Tuesday’s 2-1 Checkatrade Trophy win away at Burton Albion.
Starting in central midfield, the Republic of Ireland U21 international showcased his skill and impressive distribution throughout. After making 16 appearances on loan at Portsmouth last season, he is well placed to make a real impression in League One over the next few months.
And Wolves fans are particularly pleased to see Ronan shine down the road at Walsall.

Wolves might have the funds to bring in top talent but the Molineux faithful are still hoping that there is a route into the first team for the likes of Ronan.
