Swansea City youngster Oli McBurnie can’t stop scoring for Championship strugglers Barnsley – and Leeds United fans want him at Elland Road.

According to The Sun, Leeds United had identified Swansea City’s highly-rated striker Oli McBurnie as a potential replacement for Chris Wood once the 2016/17 Championship Golden Boot winner completed his £15 million move to Burnley.
And, one year on, a deal for the 21-year-old Scot would make more sense than ever. Not just because Leeds’ current boss Paul Heckingbottom brought him to Barnsley in January shortly before taking over their Yorkshire rivals – but because McBurnie has been in red-hot form for the Tykes.

Last season’s Premier League 2 Player of the Year has marked his loan spell at Oakwell with six goals in just seven starts.
But, just to clarify one thing, McBurnie might have started his life in Leeds but that does not mean he supports them.
In fact, the Scotland U21 star is allegedly a staunch Rangers supporter according to the Daily Record – and was even linked with a loan move to Ibrox in January before rocking up in South Yorkshire.
Nonetheless, Leeds fans will be hoping that McBurnie would be tempted to return to his roots at the end of this season.
