Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in the midst of a poor patch of form.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about his side’s start to their 2018/19 Premier League campaign, and insisted that the way in which his team approach the game is more important than results.

The Black Country outfit made a fine start to the season, but three consecutive defeats have seen them drop down to 11th spot in the Premier League table, and their recent run of form will surely be a concern for the Molineux faithful.

In spite of their recent defeats, Wolves have still be playing some excellent stuff, however, so there is still plenty of reason for optimism for the club’s fans.

In the Premier League, though, it is incredibly hard to halt a poor run of form, and the longer their winless run goes on, the more difficult it will be for Wolves to jump back on the winning train.

Nuno told the Express & Star how he doesn’t believe that results are the most important thing, and that might just prove to be slightly naive from the Portuguese:

“We keep the same routines like we do before. We are focused on the how. If one aspect of the game is not achieved, we have to go to the pitch and try to produce – over and over again. Repetition is the best, I believe. At the same time, I believe the ‘how’ is more important than the result. Some people will say that is not so correct, but for me it is.”

Next up for Wolves is a trip to Arsenal on Sunday, and despite what Nuno says, he will surely desperate for his side to pick a positive result at the Emirates.
