Brighton and Hove Albion could reportedly nab Hibernian’s John McGinn from under the nose of Scottish Premiership winners Celtic.

Celtic were always taking a big risk in their pursuit of John McGinn.
According to the Daily Record, the Scottish Premiership champions have refused to raise their bid beyond £2 million, just half what Hibernian want for their 23-year-old talisman.
And the report adds that Celtic are now willing to wait until January, where they will be able to sign McGinn on a pre-contract agreement before he becomes a free agent next summer.
But, with Premier League clubs also sniffing around, there was a real chance that Celtic’s risk could blow up in their face. And latest reports from Sky Sports are claiming that Brighton have now held talks with Hibs about nabbing McGinn from under Celtic’s nose

Brighton have been linked with the nine-time Scotland international since the start of the summer, and it seems they are still interested despite the addition of Yves Bissouma from Lille. Energetic and hard-working, McGinn seems to fit the mould for Seagulls gaffer Chris Hughton.
So Celtic are now in a difficult position. With the Premier League riches meaning Brighton could comfortably afford £4 million, Brendan Rodgers’ side might be forced to raise their offer now or miss out on a player they have allegedly been tracking for well over a year.
This could be now or never.
