Premier League strugglers West Brom loaned striker Tahvon Campbell to League Two outfit Forest Green in the January transfer window.

Tahvon Campbell left West Brom for a loan spell at Forest Green in the January transfer window hoping to make an impression in the fourth tier of English football.

And he certainly did that on Saturday afternoon. The 21-year-old striker, who is yet to make a first-team appearance for The Baggies, scored his second Forest Green goal against Notts County at The New Lawn and what a goal it was.

Leaving two defenders in his wake, Campbell twisted and turned before firing an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net. And he made sure that fans at Notts County, where he spent 11 goalless games during a loan spell last season, took note of his moment of magic.

Campbell’s decision to celebrate wildly in front of the travelling support, however, backfired. An 80th minute strike by Matt Tootle sealed a 2-1 win for Kevin Nolan’s County – and rendered Campbell’s strike redundant.

And the Notts County supporters couldn’t wait to take to Twitter and rub the player’s nose in it:

It seems that Campbell has a lot to learn during his loan spell away from West Brom – not just in front of goal but after the ball has hit the back of the net too.
