Kieran Dowell has passed his test with flying colours on loan at Championship giants Nottingham Forest and looks ready for the Premier League with Everton.

Kieran Dowell has been so impressive in recent weeks for Nottingham Forest that manager Mark Warburton is dreaming of keeping the youngster at the City Ground for as long as possible.
The Everton loanee added to his growing reputation with another stunning goal against Bristol City at the weekend, taking his tally to eight in 22 Championship games for the East Midland giants.
And, according to the Nottingham Post, Warburton would love to keep Forest’s current top scorer beyond this season, but the chances of Dowell staying at the City Ground do not look particularly high right now.

After all, Everton sent the 20-year-old on loan to Forest to give him a chance to prove that he is ready to make the step up to senior level, having shone in the Under-23s Premier League 2 winning campaign in 2016/17.
And it is fair to say Dowell, who is rated even higher than Tom Davies by some Everton fans, has passed the test with flying colours. As it stands, Everton simply cannot allow Dowell to stay at Forest beyond this season, even on another temporary deal.

Because the technically gifted midfielder, who is keeping Forest’s £3 million ace Zach Clough out of the side, looks ready to play professionally in the Premier League already.
The biggest test is yet to come, however, with Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson already fighting it out for that number ten position at Goodison Park. But with Davies, Mason Holgate and Jonjoe Kenny all starting regularly for Everton right now, it seems only a matter of time before Dowell joins them in the first team.
