Aitor Karanka has led Nottingham Forest to 12th in the Championship table and owner Evangelos Marinakis has reportedly jetted in.

You could hardly blame Evangelos Marinakis if he was feeling rather underwhelmed by Nottingham Forest’s start to the Championship season.
Despite boating a proven second-tier manager in Aitor Karanka and having brought in 15 new players during the summer transfer window, including almost £30 million on the likes of Joao Carvalho and Lewis Grabban, Forest look a long way from ending their Premier League exile right now.
A disappointing 2-1 home defeat against Norwich City on Saturday means Forest are 12th in the table right now, although the congested nature of the Championship means they’re just two points adrift of rivals Derby County in sixth.
But could the pressure be rising on Karanka from above?

Marinakis is hardly the most patient of owners after all. His Olympiakos side have had 12 different permanent managers since 2010, including Ernesto Valverdo, Leonardo Jardim and Marco Silva.
Victor Sanchez lasted a grand total of two games while Paulo Bento was sacked with Olympiakos seven points clear at the top of the table.
Now, The Mail is reporting that Marinakis has flown in from Greece for talks with Nottingham Forest’s players. He is understood to be dissatisfied with their inability to challenge right at the top of the table.
So it’s little surprise that Karanka’s position is being questioned by supporters.
