Wolverhampton Wanderers sent Rafa Mir on loan to Nottingham Forest this summer but he is yet to score for the Championship side.

Sabri Lamouchi could hardly have dreamed of a better result or performance as he lead Nottingham Forest out against Derby County for the first time with bragging rights, the Brian Clough trophy and a place in the Carabao Cup third round at stake.
Albert Adomah, Joe Lolley and Joao Carvalho found the net as Forest sent Phillip Cocu’s Rams to the slaughter with the most clinical of 3-0 wins at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
John Bostock, meanwhile, offered a tantalising glimpse of his star quality with a faultless midfield performance, Matty Cash was a bundle of irrepressible energy on the right-hand side and Alfa Semedo showed once again why he’s the Championship’s very own Paul Pogba (for all the right reasons, mind you).
A goal for Rafa Mir really would have put the icing on the cake.

But, in his sixth appearance since arriving on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Spanish striker once again failed to find the target with another frustrating display the only negative on a night full of positives on the banks of the River Trent.
Mir missed the target with an acrobat effort early on before being denied by a sprawling Ben Hamer save. The longer the wait goes on, the louder the doubters will become.
