Ben Osborn is one of Nottingham Forest’s prized assets but a number of fans are starting to turn on him after a series of ineffective displays.

From an outside perspective, you’d get the impression that Ben Osborn is one of Nottingham Forest’s standout players.
Yet, the young, homegrown talent who shot to fame with a wonder winner against Derby County, is starting to become a scapegoat with some sections of the City Ground support demanding his immediate removal from the starting XI.
It’s fair to say the 22-year-old didn’t have his most effective game as Forest slipped to just one point above the relegation zone with a distressing 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City on Easter Monday. Osborn, who has four goals and six assists to his name this season, returned to his favoured number ten position but failed to stamp his authority on another profligate Forest display.
They’ve now failed to score in half of Mark Warburton’s six games at the helm and Osborn’s inability to replicate the creative talents of the benched Zach Clough played a major role in Forest managing to hit the target with just one of their 23 efforts on goal.
The Sun reported last week that Swansea City and Newcastle United were ready to go head-to-head for the midfielder’s signature in the summer. And, if you ask some Nottingham Forest supporters, they would snap your hand off for a decent price.
