Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keen to sign Senegal star Badou Ndiaye from relegated Premier League outfit Stoke City.

Reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an official bid to sign Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye should come as no surprise. The Premier League newcomers have been heavily linked with the Senegalese powerhouse for a number of weeks now.
But how much they are willing to pay has certainly raised eyebrows.
Fanatik state that Wolves have offered £22 million for Ndiaye. It is worth remembering that he joined Stoke for just £14 million back in January and, in truth, had done little to raise his value by £8 million in his 13 Premier League starts.

Yes, Ndiaye could be the physical powerhouse Wolves need to beef up their midfield. Yes, he could be the perfect foil for Ruben Neves. But just because Wolves have money to burn thanks to their billionaire Chinese owners does not mean they should forget the beauty of value.
And it is worth pointing out that Badou Ndiaye was left on the bench for Senegal’s 2-1 World Cup win against Poland on Tuesday. Ironically, his near-namesake Alfred Ndiaye, who spent last season on loan at Wolves but doesn’t seem likely to sign permanently, started the game and impressed in central midfield.
So, as one fan points out, surely there’s better options out there for £22 million.
