Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting after the Daily Mail reported that the Gunners would have to put together a package worth a total of £150m if they want to sign Dusan Vlahovic.
What’s the story with Vlahovic?
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Serbian for quite some time now.
In fact, David Ornstein has claimed that the Fiorentina forward is their top striker target, but sadly, he won’t be cheap.
Indeed, the Mail report that the striker will cost Arsenal £150m all in all when you factor in wages, agent fees and the transfer fee.
£150m is a massive amount of money, even in football, and it’s fair to say that some Arsenal fans have reservations about this move.
Expensive
£150m makes Vlahovic sound very expensive, but if every transfer was reported in this way, we’d all panic about every signing our clubs made.
However, it still has to be said, this would be an incredibly expensive signing.
Vlahovic is a talented player, but let’s be honest, he’s not proven at the top level. He’s never played a single Champions League game and he’s only really burst onto the scene over the past 18 months.
Perhaps Arsenal would be better off going for a more tried and tested option.
