Pele signed for Championship outfit Nottingham Forest from Ligue 1 strugglers AS Monaco during the January transfer window.

Pele has endured a rather inauspicious start to his Nottingham Forest career.
The midfielder arrived on loan from Ligue 1 strugglers Monaco in the January transfer window and wore the famous red shirt for the first time on Monday night as Forest’s U23 side beat Sheffield United 1-0.
But, while the seldom-seen Liam Bridcutt offered fans a reminder of his quality with an impressive, all-action display in the centre of the park, Pele did not exactly set the world alight in his first appearance on British shores.

At least that is according to the Forest fans who watched him in action.
2018/19 has been something of a year to forget for Pele, who made just four Ligue 1 starts after joining Monaco from Rio Ave for a hefty £9 million last summer (Post).
So a short-term spell at the City Ground should give him an opportunity to recapture the terrific form that earned him that big-money move to the Principality in the first place. Pele scored seven league goals for Rio Ave in the 2017/18 season, so surely there are better things to come.
