Everton paid £10m to bring Nikola Vlasic to the Premier League but the Croatian has fared far better in Russia with CSKA Moscow.

Nikola Vlasic’s agent has confirmed that the Croatian international wants to leave Everton on a permanent basis this summer and hopes to seal a switch to CSKA Moscow, while speaking to Championat.
Vlasic joined Everton from Hajduk Split in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £10 million, as reported by the BBC, and would have been hoping to establish himself as a crucial first-team player once Marco Silva replaced the more pragmatic Sam Allardyce at Goodison Park.
But Silva made the surprising decision to send the 21-year-old out on loan instead. Everton’s loss, however, has certainly been CSKA’s gain with Vlasic scoring eight goals and setting up five more for the Russian giants.
One of those goals was a winner from the spot in a Champions League group stage clash against Real Madrid in Moscow. Vlasic also grabbed an assist as CKSA did a remarkable double over the Spanish powerhouses, sealing a famous 3-0 win at the Bernabau.
Speaking to Championat, Vlasic’s agent has confirmed that he hopes to cut ties with Everton at the end of the season.

“At the moment, everything is possible with regard to the future of Vlasic. For starters, CSKA must come to terms with Everton,” Tonchi Martic.
“This has not happened at the moment, although negotiations are underway. Nicola really wants to stay. He likes the club and the coach.”
Fotomac claimed last week that Besiktas were hoping to lure Vlasic to Turkey but it seems that the youngster has his heart set on staying at CSKA.
