Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is said to be keen on Southampton defender Matt Targett.

Newcastle wanted Targett on loan from Southampton two years ago, and TeamTalk suggest that the Magpies are back in for him now.
Targett could leave Southampton this summer, as his first team chances look limited, with The Sun claiming he is valued at around £10 million.
Newcastle are on the hunt for a left-back, and Targett could fill the void in that squad.
But if Benitez is to avoid being annoyed at missing out on Targett for a second time then Newcastle are going to have to sort his future out sooner rather than later.
The Magpies are not the only team competing for the English left-back, and they could be left behind if they are not careful.

Newcastle are refusing to enter into transfer negotiations until Benitez has committed his future.
The Spanish boss has just 13 days remaining on his current deal at St. James’ Park.
And the Newcastle boss risks seeing history repeat itself, unless he pens a new contract soon.
