Yet another Premier League outfit have joined the race to sign Turkey’s answer to Sergio Busquets.

It is understood that The Magpies have also enquired about the 24-year-old’s availability – and they will probably be able to snap him up on a bargain deal this summer with Milliyet claiming recently that he has a £6.6 million release clause in his contract.

Turkish international Yokuslu has been one of the stand out players in the Super Lig this season and Newcastle are not alone in expressing their interest.

Haber Turk stated in January that West Brom had a bid rejected as Trabzonspor did not want to sell midway through the season, while Spanish publication AS has linked Yokuslu with West Ham and Champions League quarter-finalists Sevilla.

And West Ham could perhaps be the biggest threat to Newcastle, with David Moyes desperate to bring a hard-working and energetic midfielder during the summer transfer window.

Yokuslu, however, resembles pretty much the archetypal Magpies signing – young, cheap and promising with plenty of re-sale value.
