Premier League giants Newcastle United have failed twice to lure Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues to St. James’ Park from Turkey.

Newcastle United’s links with Cape Verde international Garry Rodrigues are not going away.
And according to Turkish publication Mynet, Gala could be tempted to cash in on Rodrigues at the end of the season, provided Newcastle double their offer.
“I will not go for less than 15 million euros (around £14 million),” Rodrigues said.

There are two questions that need to be answered here. One, will Newcastle meet Galatasaray’s asking price and, two, should they?
The first is up for debate, given that owner Mike Ashley has not exactly shown a willingness to spend big of late. Newcastle brought three new players – Martin Dubravka, Islam Slimani and Kenedy – to St. James’ Park in January but each of them arrived on loan deals.
Yet with Newcastle struggling for creativity and cutting edge this season, Rodrigues would perhaps be an astute investment should Rafa Benitez’s side keep their place in the Premier League.

The Magpies have averaged less than a goal a game and the versatile Rodrigues, who can play on either wing, could go some way to changing that. He has an impressive four goals and six assists in Turkey this season, helping Galatasaray to fight for the title
Newcastle could get lucky third time round if they offered to pay £14 million for Rodrigues and, on current form, he would be worth the money.
