Yasin Ben El-Mhanni looks set to leave Premier League giants Newcastle United for either Brighton or Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Yasin Ben El-Mhanni’s promising Newcastle United career could come to an end this month.

According to Goal, the freestyling youngster looks set to bid farewell to Tyneside in the current transfer window.

The report adds that a number of clubs are keen to offer the 22-year-old a fresh start, among them Premier League rivals Brighton and Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And The Chronicle states that an exit is likely to be on the cards. El-Mhanni has just six months left on his contract at Newcastle, but the Tyneside giants are unlikely to offer him a fresh deal and could even let him leave on a free before the end of January.

These latest reports will obviously be of interest to both Wolves and Brighton, especially after Goal had suggested last week that Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez was keen to keep the Moroccan-born winger at St James’ Park.

El-Mhanni, a hugely skilful footballer who even doubled as Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo for TV adverts, boasts immense raw talent though his action in Newcastle’s first-team has been limited to just two appearances.

And while Wolves have paid huge sums for players since Chinese investors Fosun International completed their takeover in 2016, El-Mhanni could perhaps prove to be another inspired piece of business on a free transfer.
