Moussa Sissoko is arguably in his best form at Spurs since they signed him from Premier League rivals Newcastle United for £30m.

Moussa Sissoko produced arguably his two finest performances in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt during vital wins against Chelsea and Inter Milan.
After running Chelsea’s defence ragged in Saturday’s 3-1 thrashing of Maurizio Sarri’s side, the much-maligned Frenchman continued his unexpected revival against the Serie A giants on Wednesday night. It was Sissoko’s powerful forward burst which laid the foundations for Christian Eriksen’s 80th minute winner at Wembley.
For the first time since he moved to Tottenham for a then club-record £30 million in August 2016 (BBC), Sissoko’s name is being sung loud and proud by the Spurs fans who are taking the France international to their heart.

But maybe they shouldn’t get too carried away just yet.
During Sissoko’s time at Newcastle United, the St James’ faithful frequently watched Sissoko turn up against top opposition and produce his best performances of the season in front of the TV cameras.
By the time a bread and butter, 3pm kick-off rolled around, the barnstorming, influential Sissoko was replaced by a tepid and half-hearted imitation.
When Sissoko starts to perform on a game by game basis, this is when Tottenham fans can get excited. For now, the Newcastle fans are warning their North London counterparts to reign in the enthusiasm.
