Rafa Benitez has walked away from Newcastle United; So what chance of Eddie Howe leaving Bournemouth to take over the sleeping Premier League giants?

If you don’t feel for Newcastle United fans everywhere on this miserable Monday afternoon, you must have a heart of stone. Either that, or you have a lifelong love of the red-and-white striped club situated a few miles down the road.
One of the most loyal fanbases in the Premier League have been messed around far too often during the long, wretched reign of Mr Michael James Wallace Ashley. And the inevitable yet still heart-wrenching departure of Rafa Benitez, Newcastle’s best manager since Sir Bobby Robson, is perhaps the final straw.
We all knew for some time that the former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool boss was unlikely to stay on at St James’ Park but the announcement of Benitez’s sudden exit would still have felt like a dagger to the heart of Newcastle fans everywhere.

So why on earth would Eddie Howe, a bright young manager who has a loving and stable home at Bournemouth, leave the sunny South Coast to step into Rafa’s shoes on the St James’ touchline?
Newcastle fans know that Howe is unlikely to come but that doesn’t mean they can’t dream. At least hiring the 41-year-old as Benitez’s successor would represent some semblance of ambition and forward planning.
Don’t hold your breath.
