Rafa Benitez could leave Premier League outfit Newcastle United, who have reportedly identified Klinsmann and AC Milan coach Gattuso as replacements.

Newcastle United could move for Jurgen Klinsmann or Gennaro Gattuso if Rafa Benitez walks away from St James’ Park this summer, according to reports in Europe.
Benitez’s future is still up in the air with just three Premier League games remaining with the Spaniard out of contract in July. The Magpies’ top priority is tying down a top class coach who has steered them comfortably away from the relegation zone on an infamously limited budget but they will have to prepare for every eventuality.
And, according to France Football, Newcastle have made Germany and Tottenham Hotspur legend Klinsmann a ‘priority’ if Benitez decides to leave.
The 54-year-old led the German national term to the semi-finals of the World Cup on home soil in 2006 and also coached Bayern Munich but he has now been out of the game for three years since a successful spell in charge of the USA came to a disappointing conclusion.
The report adds that Everton could move for Klinsmann if they decide to part with Marco Silva, which looks unlikely after a fine run which included victories over Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Gazzeta dello Sport adds that Gattuso is another potential replacement for Benitez, having held talks with super-agent Jorge Mendes about his future at AC Milan.
The former Rossoneri midfielder has coached the Italian giants since 2017 but it remains to be seen if he will stay at the San Siro after a dreadful run of form that has threatened their chances of Champions League qualification.
