Porto’s Primeira Liga champion has been linked with a move to either Everton or Newcastle United.

Reports that Yacine Brahimi could finally make his belated move to the Premier League in 2019 have prompted an interesting response from fans of both Newcastle United and Everton.
The Mail adds that the Magpies and the Toffees are at the front of the queue with Brahimi – who inspired Porto to their first Primeira Liga crown since 2013 in May – out of contract at the end of the season and potentially available on a cut-price deal in January.
But it seems that many Newcastle and Everton fans are unconvinced, albeit for rather different reasons.

Magpies supporters are used to seeing their top targets move to Premier League rivals or clubs elsewhere, with owner Mike Ashley seemingly unwilling to invest in the squad. So, even if Brahimi is available on the cheap, Newcastle fans still expect their club to be outbid.
Which is a real shame considering the Algerian looks exactly the kind of creative spark Rafa Benitez is crying out for.
Everton fans, however, seem largely unconvinced that Brahimi is even needed at Goodison Park with Bernard, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Richarlison and Theo Walcott all available to Marco Silva right now.
Furthermore, Everton made a £33.6 million bid for Brahimi in 2016, only for him to turn them down.
