Manchester City youngster Brandon Barker is reportedly a target for Scottish Premiership title challengers Rangers.

Few saw this coming.
Despite signing Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and Sheyi Ojo this summer alone, yet another winger is on his way to Rangers.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester City’s Brandon Barker is set to make the trip to Ibrox to undergo a medical on Thursday with the move surely signalling an end to any hopes Rangers had of bringing Ryan Kent back to Glasgow.
Barker might not possess the star quality SPFA Young Player of the Year Kent brought to Steven Gerrard’s side but the 22-year-old would provide plenty of pace and trickery out wide.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon might not want to admit it but he knows better than anyone that Old Firm rivals Rangers are on the verge of a potentially inspired addition.
After all, Lennon couldn’t help but be impressed by Barker’s performances during a loan spell at Hibernian in 2017/18.

“I just enjoy watching him play. He is a throwback. He wants to get to the byeline, he wants to get inside, he has that dynamic burst of pace and he wants to take people on,” Lennon told the Scotsman.
“He is a very exciting player. I have admired him for a long time. On Wednesday you can see why. He was breathtaking.”
Ojo has enjoyed a brilliant start to life at Rangers and the Liverpool loanee might have already established himself as Gerrard’s first-choice option out wide. But with Jones and Hastie yet to really make a mark in the famous blue shirt, there is a gap in the side that Barker will be desperate to fill.
