Championship outfit Rotherham United are reportedly hoping to sign Lee Hodson on a loan deal from Scottish Premiership side Rangers

Rangers are making some big changes this summer after finishing in a disappointing third place behind Celtic and Aberdeen last season.
Six players have arrived, including astute deals for Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor and Connor Goldson, while new manager Steven Gerrard is also attempting to get a number of ill-fitting players off the wage bill.
Reports on Thursday suggested both Bruno Alves and Wes Foderingham are in line for the cull but it’s the potential departure of Lee Hodson that has got Rangers fans rejoicing on social media.

The Scottish Sun states that the Northern Ireland international could be set to return to England, two years after arriving from MK Dons. Rotherham United, who won promotion to the Championship in May by winning the League One play-off final, want to take him on loan.
Hodson has one year left on his contract so could be about to run down his deal before leaving on a free. This perhaps points to the fact that Rangers were struggling to find a club willing to pay a fee for the 26-year-old.

And considering that he made just six league appearances in 2017/18, it is no surprise that Hodson has been reportedly deemed surplus to requirements.
