Scottish Premiership champions Celtic could do business with Manchester City again with Jason Denayer linked with a move back to Glasgow.

John Guidetti and Patrick Roberts certainly had their moments but you could argue that Jason Denayer is the best Manchester City loanee to have graced Parkhead in recent seasons.
The Belgian defender shone during his time as a Celtic player in 2014/15. He won the Premiership and League Cup double, won the PFA Young Player of the Year award, the Celtic Young Player of the Year award and was included in the league’s Team of the Season to boot.

So no wonder some sections of the Celtic support are getting a little giddy as reports in The Mail state that Celtic are hoping to sign Denayer on another loan spell, three years after the first.
Now, the defence looked a little shaky at times last season and Dedryck Boyata could still leave this week with Fulham prepared to offer £12 million for the Belgian World Cup star, according to The Mail.
So if Denayer could pick up where he left off at Celtic, he could be the sort of signing who would immediately improve Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI as an upgrade on the likes of Jack Hendry or the seldom-seen Marvin Compper.

Celtic fans have wanted signings all summer – and this could be a big one.
