West Ham United have been linked with Leander Dendoncker of Anderlecht and Fulham’s Tom Cairney in the January transfer window.

The Hammers recently made their first January signing, bringing in midfielder Joao Mario on loan from Italian giants Inter Milan until the end of the season.

Moyes told Football.London: “My aim was to bring in two or three players and with the boys picking up the injuries it made it imperative that we try and do that.
“But I couldn’t give anybody any promises that we will get much more than we got at the moment. I would like to have a few more but the truth is I wouldn’t want to say because I couldn’t be confident we will get any more.
“At the moment I can’t say there is any guarantee there will be anybody else coming. It’s really difficult. behind the scenes we have tried for two or three players and most of it is getting knocked back.”

Moyes’s aforementioned comments suggest that West Ham could miss out on two of their reported targets in the January transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League club are interested in signing 22-year-old defensive midfielder Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht.
Sky Sports have also claimed that the Hammers are prepared to pay as much as £15 million in order to sign 27-year-old midfielder Tom Cairney from Fulham, who do not want to sell him.
However, with just a few days left in the January transfer window and given Moyes’s latest comments, it seems that West Ham could miss out on the duo.
The Hammers’ recent results and performances have been encouraging, but the London outfit are still very much in danger of getting relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.
