Harry Winks has been in fine form for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, but is he really Mauricio Pochettino’s answer to Steven Gerrard?

Moussa Sissoko has compared his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Winks to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, in an exclusive interview with the Telegraph.
Sissoko and Winks have established themselves as arguably Spurs’ first-choice central midfield partnership in recent months, with Mousa Dembele leaving for China and Victor Wanyama well down the pecking order.
England international Winks has been particularly impressive of late, making himself almost indispensable to manager Mauricio Pochettino with his intelligent ball-playing style and work-rate out of possession.
The 23-year-old highlighted his goal-scoring instincts too as he arrived late in the box to head home a dramatic stoppage-time winner against Fulham in January.

And, speaking to the Telegraph, Sissoko has gone as far as to compare Winks to one of the most complete and influential midfielders of his generation.
“(Winks) reminds me a lot of Steven Gerrard,” said the former Newcastle United ace.
Winks might have made great strides since bursting onto the scene two years ago but he has a lot of improvements to make before he can reach the impeccable standards set by Gerrard for both Liverpool and England.
