West Ham United reportedly offered £26million to sign FC Porto striker Mousa Marega in the summer and the Hammers still need a striker.

Just because West Ham United failed with a £26 million bid in August, according to L’Equipe, that does not mean they should give up hope of luring Moussa Marega to the London Stadium.
The Hammers still seem determined to sign a marquee centre-forward when the January transfer window opens, despite both Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez finding the net in recent games.
And Marega, with just a fortnight to go until the turn of the year, has provided a timely reminder of his considerable goal-scoring prowess.
The Porto talisman found the net in the 3-2 win at Galatasaray in Tuesday’s thrilling Champions League clash, meaning he has now scored in five successive games in Europe’s premiere club competition.
It is testament to Marega’s consistent plundering that only Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski have scored more times in the Champions League this season.

And it is this kind of ability that has seen Porto refuse to cash in on the 27-year-old for a penny less than his £35 million release clause, Record adds.
Clearly Marega is a man for the big occasion who, after inspiring Porto to their first Primeira Liga title since 2013 in May, might just have proven that he is ready to follow in the footsteps of Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and co.
West Ham could do a lot worse.
