Nathaniel Clyne could reportedly leave Liverpool on loan in January and Southampton could do a lot worse.

With Nathaniel Clyne keen to leave Liverpool in January to get some much-needed minutes under his belt, Southampton fans have taken to Twitter in their droves to demand the England international’s return to St Mary’s.
The 27-year-old right-back is fit again after missing much of the last year and a half with a long-term back injury but has failed to force his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez ahead of him in the pecking order.
And Wales Online report that both player and club are open to a loan move away from Anfield in the New Year.

Cardiff City are understood to be interested, with right-back becoming a problem position for Neil Warnock in recent months, but it seems that Clyne would be welcomed back with open arms on the South Coast too – especially with Cedric Soares out of form so far this season.
The 14-time England international spent three years at Southampton between 2012 and 2015 before leaving Liverpool in a £12.5 million deal. Four years on, a return could be ideal for all parties.
