Jason Cummings’ loan spell at Scottish Premiership giants Rangers has come to an end but will he return from Championship outfit Nottingham Forest?

Would Rangers fans give Jason Cummings a second chance at Ibrox? Well, to put it simply, some definitely would. Others, however, seem to think the striker has missed his chance.
Cummings moved to Ibrox on loan from Nottingham Forest in January and, to be quite honest, it is difficult to know how to sum up his time in Glasgow. The 22-year-old arrived amid high expectations on the back of a brilliant spell at Hibernian, where he became the first player in 50 years to score 20+ goals for three straight seasons.

But Cummings managed just one goal in 10 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers. Then again, just two of those appearances came from the starting XI. Then, suddenly, you’re looking at a record of a goal every other start.

And, who knows, Cummings could thrive under new manager Steven Gerrard, particularly now the arrivals of Ovie Ejaria and Scott Arfield have added a lot more creativity in midfield.
The Daily Record reported last week that Cummings has now left Rangers upon the expiry of his loan spell. But expect a mixed response if he returns to Ibrox this summer.
