Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers paid £18m for Adama Traore after Boro’s Championship playoff semi-final defeat in May.

Barring a few typically thrilling cameo performances, Adama Traore hasn’t really got going yet in Wolverhampton Wanderers colours.
The club record signing, who cost £18 million when Wolves triggered the release clause in his Middlesbrough contract (BBC), has started just one of his 12 Premier League appearances so far and was powerless to prevent his side collapsing to a home defeat against Huddersfield Town on Sunday after being introduced at the interval.
Writing on Twitter, former Barcelona starlet Traore admitted that his current employers have a lot to learn as their Premier League season starts to go sour.

And Boro fans have bombarded the jet-heeled powerhouse, telling him that he’d be welcomed back at Riverside with Tony Pulis’ side looking to join Wolves in the Premier League in 2019.
While Traore has struggled for starts since moving to the Black Country, Middlesbrough are hoping to go one better after losing in the Championship playoff semi-finals to Aston Villa in May.
They are second in the table, just two points behind Norwich, but any team in the Championship would be missing a player with Traore’s fearsome physical attributes.
