Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi needs a good pre-season with Premier League rivals Everton and Crystal Palace reportedly interested.

If it wasn’t for that pesky transfer ban, Michy Batshuayi probably wouldn’t have had much hope of starting the 2019/20 season as Chelsea’s number one striker.
But new manager Frank Lampard will have to make do with what he’s got in his first year back at Stamford Bridge. And if Batshuayi wants to start the Premier League opener away at Manchester United on August 11, he really didn’t do himself any favours on Friday.
Lampard’s third game in charge of Chelsea ended in a humiliating 1-0 defeat to Japanese outfit Kawasaki Frontale. If Batshuayi looks out of his depth against teams like this, why on earth would Maurizio Sarri’s successor trust him to play at Old Trafford in just three weeks’ time?

Yet again, Batshuayi impressed when linking up with Mason Mount and co but his finishing left a lot to be desired. In fact, his best spell since he joined Chelsea for £33 million three years ago was during that short-lived loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Crystal Palace would love to re-sign a player who impressed during a temporary stint at Selhurst Parl in the second half of last season (The Times), while Everton would apparently be keen to bring in the Belgium international as they look to finally replace Romelu Lukaku, according to Goal.
On this evidence, however, Chelsea are unlikely to drum up any interest in a player who continues to disappoint in the famous blue shirt.
