Michail Antonio scored his first Premier League goal since May as West Ham United beat Cardiff City 3-1 at the London Stadium on Tuesday.

Michail Antonio has had to wait a long time to score for West Ham United.
The winger was a reliable source of goals a few seasons ago but they’ve dried up of late. Until Cardiff City came to the London Stadium that is.
After a Lucas Perez double, Antonio sealed a 3-1 win for West Ham with his first Premier League strike in seven months, a clinical header in the second half.
And it’s fair to say the former Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday man was pleased with his output as Manuel Pellegrini’s side followed up their 3-0 mauling of Newcastle United in style in front of their own supporters, posting a quite brilliant photo on Twitter.
Antonio had been heavily tipped to leave West Ham in January but a long-term injury to Andriy Yarmolenko appears to have opened the door for the one-time England hopeful to force his way into Pellegrini’s starting XI over the next few months.
But it might take a few more ‘superhuman’ performances before Antonio is playing week in week out in claret and blue again.
