Kortney Hause made a rare appearance for Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers as they defeated Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup.

Wolverhampton Wanderers cruised past Sheffield Wednesday and into the next round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, thanks to Leo Bonatini’s first goal since last December and a late penalty from Helder Costa.
And there were plenty of positives to take for Wolves fans. Adama Traore, on his first start at the club, began to justify his club-record £18 million price-tag with a trademark sprint and cross for Bonatini’s opener.
Another summer signing, Leander Dendoncker, showed his class on his debut while youngsters Elliot Watt, Ruben Vinagre and Morgan Gibbs-White proved that the future is bright.
Although the display of Kortney Hause should not go under the radar. The England U23 defender has struggled for game time since Nuno Espirito Santo arrived, playing just seven minutes of football in the Championship last season.

But, in his first start of 2018/19, Hause helped his side keep a clean sheet at Hillsborough and reminded everyone why Wolves handed the seldom-seen defender a new contract until 2022 as recently as April.
With Connor Coady, Ryan Bennett and Willy Boly established as Wolves’ back three, and with Leander Dendoncker capable of filling in, too, Hause is well down the pecking order. But his solid display should keep him in Nuno’s thoughts.
