Championship giants Nottingham Forest are reportedly hoping to raid Hull City for the out-of-contract left-back Max Clark.

Max Clark might be out of contract this summer but that does not mean the Hull City defender is available for free.
Due to the fact he is under the age of 23, and has spent his entire career on Humberside, Hull would be entitled to a compensation fee should Clark move elsewhere this summer amid interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

And Clark’s many suitors might have worried that he wouldn’t come cheap. Compensation figures can be somewhat erratic, as shown by Burnley being forced to pay £6 million for Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor a year ago.
But in a major boost for Nottingham Forest, the Hull Daily Mail report that Hull are hoping to earn just £1 million from Clark’s departure this summer. Which could make the highly-rated youngster one of the bargain signings of this summer’s transfer window.

A new left-back is a must for Forest, who have lost Juan Fuentes to a serious injury while Armand Traore does not appear to have a future at the City Ground. Ben Osborn has been forced to fill in far too often and a specialist is required in the position.
Clark would be exactly that. And with Forest aiming to spend big on other areas of their squad this summer, landing him for just £1 million would be a fantastic piece of business.
