Gylfi Sigurdsson was the star of the show at Goodison Park as Everton sealed a 3-0 Premier League win against Fulham on Saturday.

Gylfi Sigurdsson produced arguably his finest performance in an Everton shirt on Saturday afternoon.
The Icelandic international reminded everyone why the Toffees paid Swansea City £45 million for his services in the summer of 2017 in the 3-0 thrashing of newly promoted Fulham.
Sigurdsson clipped the bar with a penalty with the scores level at 0-0 but he turned on the style in the second half, opening the scoring with a sublime left-footed shot before adding the third late on with another classy finish from the edge of the box.
Speaking on Match of the Day (30 September, 10.25pm), Martin Keown has gone as far as to compare Sigurdsson to one Teddy Sherringham.
“He reminds me of a young Teddy Sherringham the way he shapes up for that (his first goal against Fulham),” said the former Arsenal defender. “He is someone who Everton can build on for the future.

“He’s got that calmness, that quality and he’s coming into the confidence you need now.
Manchester United and Tottenham legend Sheringham might have been more of a centre forward than a midfielder but he, like Sigurdsson, was renowned for his composure and class in the final third.
The test for Sigurdsson, however, is whether he can add consistency to his game over the coming months.
