£42m record signing Felipe Anderson has scored eight Premier League goals since arriving at Premier League outfit West Ham United from Serie A side Lazio.

Marlon Harewood has hailed the impact Felipe Anderson has made at West Ham United since his big-money arrival at Lazio, speaking to talkSPORT (5 February, 12pm).
The Hammers paid a club record £42 million to sign the Brazilian winger in the summer transfer window (The Mail) but the jury was out about whether Anderson would be worth the money, given that his time in Serie A was dogged by inconsistency and a series of erratic performances.
But, after a sluggish start, Anderson has been in fine form over recent months, scoring eight goals in 25 Premier League starts while thrilling supporters with his fabulous dribbling skills.
And, after the 25-year-old impressed again during West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Liverpool on Monday night, former Hammers striker Harewood has paid tribute to a player who is quickly becoming Manuel Pellegrini’s star man.
“He’s turned a corner, he looks fantastic. Last night he looks really good,” said the 39-year-old, who lead the line for West Ham between 2003 and 2007.

“He’s a game changer, West Ham always seem to find those players.”
Anderson’s free-flowing, rather maverick style certainly draws comparisons with the likes of Paulo Di Canio, Alessandro Diamanti and Dimitri Payet – players who lit up in the Premier League in claret-and-blue and become exponents of the so-called ‘West Ham way’.
The early signs are that Anderson could follow in their footsteps – and few are questioning his price tag now.
