Mark Hill has left Scottish Premiership champions Celtic to join Andrew Gutman on loan in the United States with Charlotte Independence.

Mark Hill is hoping he could still have a future at Celtic despite moving to America on loan, speaking to the official Charlotte Independence website.
The 20-year-old midfielder is yet to make his mark on the first team at Parkhead, instead spending time out on loan at St Mirren and Forfar Athletic in recent months.
But Hill’s latest temporary switch has taken him much further afield, all the way across the Atlantic.
As reported by the Scottish Sun, the Scotland U19 international has joined Charlotte Independence and will be playing for the American second tier outfit until the end of the year.
Hill will now be working alongside former Celtic coach Jim McGuinness, who is the head coach of the North Carolina outfit. But he believes his future lies in Scotland.
“I’m very excited about being in Charlotte,” said Hill, who has been playing in green and white hoops since he arrived from Hamilton in 2013.
“I know Jim demands his players be hardworking and it was the exact same way at Celtic when I played under him there.

“Hopefully I can do that here and go back to get a chance with Celtic.”
Interestingly, Hill will be playing alongside Andrew Gutman in Charlotte, the young American defender who joined Celtic in the January transfer window despite spending a trial at Old Firm rivals Rangers just a few weeks earlier.
The former Indiana Hoosiers ace also joined Charlotte on loan for the 2019 season.
