Dean Henderson was the hero as Sheffield United snatched a goalless draw at home to Birmingham City in the Championship at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United fans will no doubt see Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Birmingham City as something of a missed opportunity.
The Blades were far from their best at Bramall Lane as Garry Monk’s visitors carved out the majority of the game’s best chances, meaning Chris Wilder’s side failed to move level with Brentford on 15 points.
But it could have been a whole lot worse if it wasn’t for Dean Henderson. The on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper was in inspired form between the sticks, making two outstanding saves to deny both Connor Mahoney and Lukas Jutkiewicz.
And it’s fair to say he is already enhancing his reputation in the Steel City.
This is the sort of display that explains why Henderson is one of the most coveted young shot-stoppers in English football. During a terrific spell at Shrewsbury Town, who he helped reach the 2018 League One play-off final, The Mirror claimed that 14 clubs were tracking his progress, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
Sheffield United, then, certainly pulled off a coup in bringing Henderson to Bramall Lane, albeit on a season-long loan deal.
