Newcastle United reportedly want to reunite Steve Bruce with his former loanee Axel Tuanzebe.

Axel Tuanzebe could be on the verge of going from perennial loanee to key man at Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has always been highly-rated within the walls of Old Trafford but, after two impressive spells at Aston Villa, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to promote him to the first-team ranks.
While the cynics will argue that this has a lot to do with their failure to sign Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, not to mention Eric Bailly’s ongoing injury woes, it would be unfair to claim that Tuanzebe is merely benefiting from circumstance.

As Aston Villa supporters will tell you, the England U21 international has potential by the bucketload and he’s more than deserving of a chance to prove himself in Manchester United’s starting XI. Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling are still sticking around for the time being so don’t rule out the prospect of Tuanzebe starting Premier League games on a weekly basis very soon.
So, in all likelihood, Newcastle are wasting their time. According to the Mail, Steve Bruce wants to reunite with a player he signed for Aston Villa in January 2018.
But after Newcastle publicly refuted suggestions that Sean Longstaff would be sold to the Manchester giants, they should not expect any favours from a club who have big plans for Tuanzebe.
