Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions Manchester City reportedly offered £47.5m for Inter Milan’s Serie A defender Skriniar in January 2018.

Manchester City have contacted the agent of Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar with the Slovakian international facing an uncertain future at the San Siro, as reported by Calciomercato.
The powerful centre-back has established himself as one of Europe’s leading defenders since joining Inter from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017 for a bargain fee of £24 million.
He has formed a fine partnership with Dutchman Stefan de Vrij, with the Nerrazzuri well placed to qualify for the Champions League for a second successive season.
According to Calciomercato, however, Inter consider Skriniar a ‘sellable’ asset, even if it will take a massive bid to lure the 24-year-old away from the San Siro.

The report claims that Manchester City have contacted his agent about a potential summer deal, as have Manchester United and Real Madrid. All three clubs have the finances to tempt Inter into a sale, Calciomercato adds.
Speaking to AS in March, Skriniar’s agent Mithat Halis claimed that Manchester City failed with a £47.5 million bid just six months after the defender joined Inter in January 2018 – and his price tag has since risen to £86 million.
