Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal have both been linked with Lyon’s Ligue 1 striker Moussa Dembele.

Lyon’s new sporting director Juninho Pernambucano has made a big promise just a few days into the job. In quotes reported by the Sun, the club legend has claimed that star striker Moussa Dembele will not be sold this summer amid ongoing links with Manchester United and Arsenal.
Dembele only joined Lyon last summer after a trophy-laden spell at Celtic and, after a slow start, he ended the season with an impressive 19 goals.
As a result, the powerful Frenchman has been linked with two of England’s biggest clubs with Goal reporting that Manchester United have already made a £35 million bid for a player who could potentially replace Romelu Lukaku at Old Trafford.
Arsenal are also keen, according to The Mirror, as they look to ease the goalscoring burden on Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
But Juninho, who was only appointed as Lyon’s sporting director a week ago, has put his neck on the line by promising that neither he nor Memphis Depay will be sold.

“There will be only be three departures from the club this summer and they won’t be either Moussa Dembele or Memphis Depay,” the former Brazil international said.
Depay had been linked with a shock move to Liverpool of late with Mercato365 reporting that Jurgen Klopp’s side scouted him during Lyon’s 3-0 thrashing of Marseille recently.
