Nottingham Forest fans are not the only ones criticising Martin O’Neill’s side after their Championship defeat at Birmingham City at St Andrew’s.

Three games into his career as Nottingham Forest manager, club legend Martin O’Neill already appears to be under pressure from some sections of the support.
They say you should never go back after all. After winning the European Cup with Forest in 1979 and 1980, has O’Neill made a big mistake taking an almighty swig from this poison chalice?
For the second time in three games, Forest were beaten and deservedly so under the 66-year-old, going down 2-0 away at Birmingham City.

Gary Monk, a young, vibrant manager, got the better of his ageing counterpart at St Andrew’s, adopting his tactics by dropping his two-striker system and flooding the midfield. Goals from Jota and Che Adams, who stayed in the Midlands despite some intense deadline day speculation, sealed a hugely impressive three points.
And, reacting on Twitter, Birmingham fans were quick to praise their side’s performance. Worryingly for Forest, however, the Blues faithful seem rather baffled by just how toothless and predictable a gifted Nottingham Forest side were.
Some Forest fans might be wondering whether O’Neill was a mistake – and it seems that a number of Birmingham supporters are asking the same question.
