Red Bull Salzburg striker Munas Dabbur was reportedly dreaming of a move to Premier League leaders Liverpool but he’s now La Liga bound.
Earlier this week, Tuttomercatoweb reported that Munas Dabbur had set his heart on a move to Liverpool.
The Israel international is one of the most prolific strikers in European football right now, having scored 20 goals in just 30 games for Red Bull Salzburg.
TMW claimed that he had offers from a number of clubs across the continent but had chosen Liverpool as his dream destination with the possibility to working under Jurgen Klopp understood to be a major factor.
But things have moved quickly since then. And, if Marca is to be believed, Dabbur is set to join Sevilla instead.
The 26-year-old apparently arrived in Andalusia on Wednesday to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with the La Liga side set to pay a bargain £13 million – far less than his £23 million release clause.
It seems that Liverpool are set to miss out. But maybe Dabbur was more keen on the switch than the Merseyside giants were.
The former Grasshoppers striker exploded onto the scene last season as his 29 goals fired Salzburg to the Austrain Bundesliga title, plus the semi-finals of the Europa League.
