Liverpool’s Marko Grujic has established himself as a genuine Bundesliga star at Hertha Berlin.
Liverpool starlet Marko Grujic has attracted attention from ten clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Bild.
A £5.1 million signing from Red Star Belgrade three years ago (BBC), the Serbian is finally starting to fulfil his undoubted potential during a loan spell in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin.
Grujic, who has been compared to Paul Pogba for his combination of strength and skill, has been restricted to nine league appearances for Hertha due to injury but has looked a cut above whenever he has played.
According to Bild, the 22-year-old is unlikely to stay at the Olimpiastadion if Pal Dardai’s side fail to qualify for Europe at the end of the season. Although it is understood that ten clubs have already expressed an interest in signing Grujic on loan from Liverpool for the 2019/20 campaign.
Bild adds that Hertha would love to sign Grujic on a permanent basis but Liverpool have no interest in selling one of their biggest young talents.
It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp would consider promoting him to the first-team squad next season, allowing him to compete with Naby Keita, James Milner, Jordan Henderson and co, or whether they will loan him out again.
