PSG may be at risk of losing Christopher Nkunku with the Ligue 1 starlet reportedly a target once again for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Liverpool have been keeping an eye on the PSG youngster Christopher Nkunku for around three years it seems. So could the uber-talented Frenchman finally make the move to Anfield this summer?

L’Equipe claimed back in October 2015 that Liverpool had sent scouts to watch Nkunku in action during PSG’s 4-1 UEFA Youth League thrashing of Real Madrid and he did not disappoint, scoring twice from the centre of midfield.

And, two and a half years later, much has changed for Nkunku. The 20-year-old established himself in PSG’s first-team last season under Unai Emery, making 20 Ligue 1 appearances and starring on the odd occasion he was included from the start.

But one thing that remains the same is Liverpool’s alleged interest. Calciomerato report that Liverpool, along with Fiorentina, are still keen on the versatile attacker having also scouted him last summer.

And, speaking to L’Equipe, the £18 million-rated youngster has made it clear that he has bigger ambitions than a back-up role at the Parc des Princes; comments that are sure to increase speculation about a potential summer exit.

Strangely enough, West London Sport reported in July of last year that Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers were among a number of Championship clubs keen to sign Nkunku on a season-long loan deal.

Links with Sunderland look particularly bizarre now, considering that Nkunku has blossomed into one of PSG’s brightest young stars while the Black Cats have been relegated to League One.
