Luka Jovic would have been a hugely popular addition at Premier League giants Liverpool, but he has left Frankfurt and the Bundesliga for Madrid instead.

We can all stop talking about the ‘new Luis Suarez’ signing for Liverpool this summer. Because Luka Jovic is now a Real Madrid player; it’s official.
As reported by the Guardian, Los Blancos have kicked started a much-needed rebuild with the £62 million signing of one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers.
A 21-year-old Serbian international, Jovic rattled home 27 goals in all competitions for Frankfurt during the 2018/19 campaign. It wasn’t just the amount of goals but the way they were scored that marked Jovic out as a truly spectacular talent however.

Headers, tap ins, perfectly placed penalties, stunning volleys; Jovic really does have it all. Serbia coach Mladen Kristajic even compared the former Benfica youngster to Liverpool legend Suarez in March, as reported by T Online.
But it’s clear now that Jovic will not be following in Suarez’s footsteps by honing his trade at Anfield. The newly-crowned Champions of Europe had been linked by Bild but Jovic instead will be tasked with filling a giant, Cristiano Ronaldo shaped void in Real Madrid’s attack.
And this has just darkened the mood of those otherwise jubilant Liverpool supporters.
