Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want Camacho with the Liverpool youngster reluctant to commit his future to the Premier League leaders.

Jurgen Klopp has praised the ‘wonderful’ talent that is Rafa Camacho with the youngster’s future at Anfield very much uncertain, in quotes reported by O Jogo.

The 18-year-old appeared to hit out at the Liverpool manager on Instagram after he scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 thrashing of Leicester City’s U23 side on Sunday, pointing out in no uncertain terms that he doesn’t see right-back – the role he has played under Klopp when called up for the senior side – as his best position.

Camacho has attempted to play down the apparent rift with a new post on Wednesday, describing the former Dortmund coach as his ‘father in football’. But that does not change the fact that he has been unwilling to extend a contract that expires in 2020 (Sky Sports).

According to Goal, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in taking the teenager away from Anfield for a fee that could reach around £10 million.

And Klopp, perhaps hoping to avoid what threatened to become a rather unwelcome distraction at the business end of the season, has taken the time out to praise Camacho while avoiding any claims about the forward’s future.

“Wonderful player, really good player,” Klopp said.

“Very well educated in Portugal and we gave him the next level so a really good player. What he will do and where he wants to go or not, that’s not something for today.”

As it stands, Camacho is set to become a free agent in just over a year and it remains to be seen whether he will decide to commit his future to Liverpool or push for a move to Wolves.
